Paper

Paper belongs in a blue container. An average Czech household produces paper waste the most of all sorted waste by weight per year. Blue paper containers are the easiest way to dispose of it properly. The alternative is provided by raw material recycling buy-back centres, however, these are often unavailable. On the other hand, they offer a financial reward for paper sorted by type. It is advisable to take large pieces of paper to collection yards, if available. Collections and competitions at schools, where newspapers and magazines are collected are still common in our country.

You can throw magazines, newspapers, notebooks, boxes, paper covers, any cardboard or books into a blue container. Windowed envelopes can also be put there. Paper with paper clips or egg packaging and toilet paper rolls are also fine. Processors can deal with them. We only throw bubble envelopes without the plastic wrap!

Papírové obaly a výrobky mohou být značeny těmito značkami.

On the other hand, the blue container does not include entire volumes of books (throw in only without the hardcover, in a larger number they belong to the collection yard), carbon, greasy or in any way soiled paper. These materials can no longer be recycled. Attention; used nappies really do not belong in a paper container, and should be disposed of in a mixed waste container!

Papír se obvykle třídí do modrých kontejnerů. Vhozy jsou často uzpůsobeny, aby bylo možné do kontejneru vhodit pouze správně zmáčknuté papíry.

Paper is usually sorted into blue containers. The openings are often adapted so that only pressed paper can be thrown into the container.

V domácnosti můžeme třídit papír i do barevných tašek, ve kterých jej pohodlně doneseme až ke kontejneru.

At home, you can sort paper into coloured bags, so they can be carried with ease to the container.

V kancelářích je vhodné mít nádobu na papír u každého pracovního místa. Skartovaný papír můžeme bez obav také vytřídit.

In offices, it is advisable to have a paper container at each workplace. You can also sort the shredded paper safely.

Již doma je vhodné papír umisťovat do nádob v takovém stavu, aby zabíral minimum objemu.

It is advisable to place paper in containers in such a state that it already occupies minimum volume at home.

Pokud se stěhujeme, pořizujeme nový nábytek nebo z jiného důvodu máme větší množství papíru, je správnou volbou navštívit sběrný dvůr než zaplnit celý kontejner na ulici.

If you move, buy new furniture or otherwise have more paper, paying a visit to a collection yard is a definitely a more viable choice than filling an entire container on the street.

Papírové krabice můžeme skladovat také v sobě a tím ušetříme velké množství místa. Krabice můžeme v případě potřeby i opětovně použít.

You can also store paper boxes inside each other, therefore saving a lot of space. You can also reuse the boxes if necessary.

Lepenkové krabice je před vytříděním vhodné rozložit, aby nezabraly v kontejneru příliš prostoru.

Cardboard boxes should be unfolded before sorting so that they do not take up too much space in the container.

Školní sběry jsou oblíbenou aktivitou, školy utržené finance nejčastěji investují zpět do odměn pro žáky, nebo školních pomůcek.

Paper collection at schools is a popular activity; schools most often invest the money back in rewards for pupils or school aids.

Šanony bychom měli třídit bez kovových součástí. Pokud je to možné, měli bychom upřednostnit jejich opakované použití.

Folders should be sorted without metal parts. If possible, they should be reused.

Špinavé tácky do papíru nepatří. Měli bychom je odložit do směsného odpadu.

Dirty paper trays do not belong in the paper container. They should be disposed of in the mixed waste.

Tato krabice od pizzy je znečištěna silně a proto její spodní část vytřídit nelze. Pokud je víko čisté, můžeme jej odtrhnout a do papíru vytřídit. To samé platí pro lehce znečištěné krabice od pizzy.

A pizza box is heavily soiled, so the bottom part cannot be sorted. If the lid is clean, you can tear it off and sort it into paper waste. The same goes for lightly soiled pizza boxes.

Obecně lze tyto specifické druhy papíru, jako jsou dutinky a nasávaná kartonáž třídit společně s papírem. Pokud místní svozová firma vydá pokyn jiný, řídíme se jím.

In general, specific types of paper, such as tubes and moulded pulp, can be sorted together with the paper. If the local waste collection company issues a different instruction, we follow it.

Obálky s okénky můžeme třídit do papíru. Při dalším zpracování se okénka oddělí.

Windowed envelopes can be sorted into paper. The windows are separated during further processing.
