Waste Collection

The method used for glass waste collection will depend on the particular collection service supplier and employed containers. In case the bell-shaped vessels are used, a lorry with an open body should be used for collection. These vehicles offer an advantage, if their body can be divided with a partition allowing coloured and colourless glass to be placed each in the separated part of the body. Glass waste is usually collected in the premises of the collection firm or in other tranship yard to be then transported to the special final sorting line. As the final sorting of glass waste before its future use puts high demands on process quality, there is a few glass sorting plants in the Czech Republic only. That is why glass waste should be often transported to a long distance, either by a lorry or by train.
