Every country has the different habits in sorting the waste. The system of the waste collection in Czech Republic is a little bit different from the other european countries. Here you will find some easy clues and steps how to properly manage with the collecting and sorting the waste.

What is important for you to know about the collecting system in Czech Republic?
We are using 5 coloured containers for collecting: white is for white glass, green is for coloured glass, yellow is for plastics and PET bottles. Containers marked by orange sticker is for the beverage carton and brown is for biowaste.

Every city and village in Czech Republic sort little bit differently, somewhere sort plastics together with beverage carton and somewhere, to example, they sort white glass together with coloured glass. This is why is very important to pay attention to the stickers on the containers. The stickers are coloured and have the easy illustrations of the waste which belongs to the each container.

The waste, which has the bigger size and doesn´t fit into the container , belongs to the collecting yards, which are almost in every city. If you want to know more information about the collecting yards or collecting system in the area you live, please, ask at the nearest municipality office, department of the environment and they will help you.
